S13's interior and engine bay painted, 5 lug on

Busy busy busy weekend. Friday the car went into paint, and we started getting things ready early sat morning, then buggered off to a drift even at noon. Sunday, we mobbed all day long. More details on that below.

Drove the daily for a few laps, the seats suck really bad, but other than that even with the lack of power, she did great and I had a good time :) Driving Brians SC was a highlight of the day. Love that thing. I also sported my Icon helmet used in motorcycle vs car drift battle 2 :) Love that thing as well, thanks for hooking me up with it Icon!!!!!

Once again, without Car Crafters and more specifically Brian Dewitts help, none of this car would be possible. Period, end of story.

Sunday, we got the brake and clutch master cylinders in, and Brian knocked out some epic new brake hardlines. We also got all of the suspension swapped over, as well as the 5 lug, e-brake, brake bias adjuster, and dash. All thats left now is the motor, wiring, body panels and glass.

So I was hoping to get the car in and out of paint today, but sometimes things come up. Still a decent update, got a lot of the smaller things buttoned up, and the car and all of my wheels are now ready for paint :) As always, Brian mobbed like a boss on everything all the time.

The harness bar is welded in place, the plates in the back are tacked in, the Powered by Max hydro e-brake base is welded to the plate, holes poked in the floor during sound deadening removal are patched, all plastic clips are off, the raised section of floor where the cat used to live is pounded down. Brian loves his giant freaking hammer.

On Saturday the one and only Ernie "E-Dub" Vigil from Drift 2 stopped by and lent a hand. It was much appreciated good sir!!



I also had to order a few parts that got destroyed in the wreck... Like the brake booster and clutch master cylinder. Got a used z32 300zx one, and a fresh new CMC. Also ordered a new fuel pressure gauge since mine is so cloudy you can't read anything on it. Thanks to getting hooked up with Amsoil, I got some oil and trans fluids ordered as well.

Progress!!! Plus the end of the white car... Carnage inside

We got a ton done with the car(s) this weekend. Finished the cage and gussets, dimple died and all. The fuel cell mount is set, the interior is clean and scuffed to get paint this week. Gonna get rad with it. Thanks to Brian and Mike for all the help with the car this weekend. Wouldn't have gotten near as for without it.

Large update is large!!!!!!!

Started off by dragging the poor white car inside to finally asses the damage.

Got the car on the lift and it looked like this lol. BACK TO THE FUTURE!!!!

 I did a pretty good job of breaking everything on the passenger side of the car, especially in the rear.. Coilover is destroyed, and I snapped the RUCA, traction rod, and toe arm. The lower control arm looks more like a pretzel now as well. 

Not to mention the axle that I completely blew open and destroyed. It made a very nice mess of everything.

Upon removing the rear sub-frame, it was bent pretty badly as well. Good thing the black car has one!!!

The front lower control arm was super bent, and the tie rod was bent and broken at the steering rack. So far the Powered by Max knuckles look to have held up pretty damn well considering.

Sad car on a trailer, ready to go to the scrap yard to become someones can of peaches. Not sure why I thought thumbs up was a good choice for this one... Mike has it right. She has been a great car for the past 4 years, and was instrumental in learning to drift for me. She will be missed!!!!!

On to the black car updates...

Gussets in on the cage lol. That's about it. Hopefully paint this week for engine bay and interior. Then mad swap time next weekend.

I am very happy with how much we accomplished this weekend. Can't wait to get the motor in this thing and drive the crap out of it!!!!

I also got some skirts, and horribly painted them and slapped them on the daily :)

The 93 and the 91 got some love this weekend!

This weekend was pretty productive for both cars. The 93 coupe got some fab lovin and the 91 coupe got some general exterior lovin.

The Black Car:

Brian almost finished the cage, just need the harness bar now...The door bars came out pretty badass if I do say so myself. We also shaved almost 100lbs by gutting the doors. Woooo!

He also wrapped my header better than jay z ever could.

 and I did some light fab work for once... I cut some shapes out of sheets of metal, then punched waaaay too many holes in them to tack to the rails. Go me!

On saturday, I welded for the 2nd time ever (first time involved me blowing a hole in the bed of a truck). My efforts resulted in this hideous looking beast.

Welding is fun. I shall continue my efforts in taming the electric beast.

Not pictured but still worth a mention, we put a seat in, and i swapped the steering wheel, hub and quick release from the white car... It was rather sad to be in there :( I also pulled ron davis off to check it for leaks. I really don't want to buy another radiator. Next weekend, we tear the white car to pieces!

The Gray Car:
First off, I slammed the car without ever aligning it, then put the 18x10 XXR 521 's on it that were never meant to fit, with spacers that are way too big. The result was a car that rubbed everywhere, and it felt like I was initiating drift every time I came down from a bump. 4 hours on sunday, and it has a proper alignment and feels cherry. I also installed a pignose lip and megan racing roof wing. All I need is a set of 180sx type x side skirts and I am pretty much done with this thing :)

could go lower, but I really dont feel like aligning it again... Maybe when I get the skirts.

The wing is a nice subtle touch and goes well with the over all gray / black theme. 

Overall a tiring but productive weekend in the books, and I hope I get to mob hard on it at some point this week, and next weekend. Gotta get this thing going!!!
